Buyer guide
Prepare your backdrop artwork before production.
Confirm your backdrop size and ask for the matching template and export guidance before creating the final file. We check your print-ready artwork and send a digital mockup for approval; graphic design is not included in the package price.
What size should my artwork be?
Ideally, your artwork should match the finished backdrop dimensions. For a 3m-wide × 2m-high backdrop, prepare artwork at 3m × 2m and at least 300dpi to help keep the print clear.
Tell us whether you need a standard 2m, 3m or 4m-wide system, each 2m tall, or a custom size. The finished display dimensions are a starting point, not a substitute for the printer’s artwork template.
Before exporting, ask us for the correct template and confirmation of the accepted file format, artwork scale, bleed and safe area, resolution requirements for your chosen file scale, colour setup and font handling. We confirm these details for your configuration; do not assume a generic poster or banner specification applies.
Already have artwork? We can take an early look
Email your existing artwork to kai@cheapgoodbackdrops.com for a preliminary suitability check before deciding. There is no obligation to purchase. Include the intended backdrop dimensions and the date you need it for setup, collection or delivery.
This initial check is separate from graphic design, final artwork approval and production release. It does not reserve production capacity or confirm a delivery date. After payment, you still send the final print-ready file and approve the digital mockup before printing.
Make the artwork work in your booth
- Put your brand name and main message where tables, shelves and products will not cover them.
- Use clear contrast between lettering and its background. Review the design at the viewing distance you expect in the venue.
- Keep essential content inside the template’s safe area and check where edges, curves or seams may affect placement.
- Check every word, contact detail and website address. If you include a QR code, test it from the final artwork and again on the finished print.
- Use artwork, logos and photographs you have permission to reproduce.

From request to approved print file
- Request your backdrop. Choose your size and printing sides. Tell us your event date and any earlier setup, collection or delivery deadline. No artwork upload or payment is needed with the website request.
- Confirm the details. We confirm price, timing and arrangements by email, then send an invoice. Ask any template or file questions before paying.
- Send the final artwork. After payment, email your print-ready file or a restricted Google Drive link to kai@cheapgoodbackdrops.com with your order reference. Share the Drive file with that address rather than making it public. This final handoff is still needed if we previously checked an early version.
- Review the exact digital mockup. Check the chosen size, agreed printing sides and layout, spelling, logo, image placement and anything that furniture may obscure. Request corrections before approving production.
Allow time for preparation and approval
Submit artwork within three calendar days of payment confirmation and reply to each digital mockup within two working days. Working days are Monday–Friday, excluding Singapore public holidays. Your confirmation email gives the artwork deadline.
Allow 5 weeks from receipt of full payment and approved artwork to delivery/collection. The clock starts only when both full payment and final artwork approval are complete, whichever comes later. First enquiring or submitting a file does not start it. An event five weeks away does not guarantee fulfilment while either step is outstanding; the required handover date remains subject to our email confirmation.
If the file will not be ready, contact us before paying so we can review your required date. Read the order, cancellation and defect policy for approval responsibilities and changes after production starts.
What the artwork check includes
Your package includes a print-ready file check and a digital mockup before production. It does not include creating a graphic design. Single-sided and double-sided printing are available; displayed package prices cover single-sided printing, and double-sided options are quoted separately. A mockup gives you a chance to review the layout; it is not a promise that every screen colour will look identical in the finished fabric.
